MOSCOW, Sep 22 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways can increase investment program until 2025 by 800 billion rubles to 4.3 trillion rubles, Kommersant business daily reported on Wednesday citing sources.
The new program envisages investment of 1.06 trillion rubles in 2022, 1.18 trillion rubles in 2023, and 1.16 trillion rubles in 2024, as compared with 700–800 billion rubles annually, according to the previous version of the program approved in 2020.
Some projects of the South cluster have been removed from the program, and the 225 billion ruble investment in the construction of a high-speed railway from Moscow to St. Petersburg was cut by 132 billion rubles.
Russian Railways returned the Northern Latitudinal Railway with investment of 150.5 billion rubles to the program, and allocated additional 1 trillion rubles for railway infrastructure upgrade.
